Green Schools

The pupils of Fatima National School have already achieved four green flag awards, the themes which were-Litter and Waste Management  Energy Conservation ,  Water Conservation.  and  Travel

This year we will be applying for our 5th Green flag. The theme for this flag is  Biodiversity. Biodiversity is the huge variety and variation of life that surrounds us. Biodiversity is essential in keeping the environment healthy and fit for human life. Not only do we rely on biodiversity but our activities also have an effect on it. So the Biodiversity theme  connects you, our school and our wider community with the natural environment and cultivates a sense of wonder, appreciation and value for all the biodiversity around us. 




We have already been exploring our school environs with a biodiversity theme in mind and are very fortunate to have the wonderful Nature trail Bothar na Naomh at our disposal to explore for our Green school flag.
