Pupils from both Fatima NS, Cloone (blue) and Drumeela NS (red) who attended the Earth Science labs at the Leitrim Gaels Community Centre, Leitrim Village.To celebrate National Science and Engineering Week, the Border Uplands Project in association with the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark hosted a series of Earth Science Labs at the Leitrim Gaels Community Centre in Leitrim village on Wednesday, November 12th.
The Border Uplands Project is a joint venture between ICBAN, Fermanagh District Council and the County Councils of Leitrim, Cavan and Sligo which will create much needed outdoor access, recreational and amenity infrastructure in the scenic uplands of the region.
The Project is funded under the European Union’s INTERREG IVA programme and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
The Earth Science labs were aimed at 3rd to 6th class students who are interested in
increasing their earth science knowledge.
