Important dates for your Diary

·         Sugradh Le Cheile – for all Infant pupils and their parents takes place in the community centre at 1pm on Friday 16^th November.

·         Christmas Annuals – If you are interested in receiving these please let us know by Tuesday 20^th Nov as this is the last day to order them.

·         Parent /Teacher meetings will be held on Monday 26^th and Tuesday 27^th Nov – scheduled times have being sent home to parents.

·         Mohill Community College – our 6^th Class students will visit Mohill Community College for a brief tour and talk on November 21^st.

·         Cumman na mBunscoile Quiz -  The quiz will now take place in Gaelscoil Liatroma on Wednesday the 21st November at  7pm.

Parent Association Talk for Parents

·         The Parents Asssociation have invited Noelle Murtagh from the National Parents Council to hold a seminar  in Fatima NS entitled ‘Supporting your child to build healthy friendships and relationships’  this will take place on 28^th Nov at 7:30pm. All parents are welcome, refreshments will be served! This night will be a good opportunity (especially for new parents)  to meet and chat!

Carol Service 2018

•       This year’s Christmas Carol Service will take place on Thursday 13^th December in St Mary’s Church. We will have refreshments afterwards in the community centre for parents and a special surprise for the children. There will be a Raffle on the night of the carol service and if anyone has business contacts that may like to donate a prize for the raffle or if anyone would like to donate a prize themselves please contact the school or any member of the Parents Association Committee. All funds raised go to the school and ultimately benefit the pupils. 

CASH FOR CLOBBER BAGS were collected Nov 14th  .The school got 50c per kg  which yielded €400- for school funds so a big, big THANK YOU to all the parents and friends of the school who donated so generously. We appreciate the great response to this collection.

Fatima NS Parents Association held an A.G.M on Tuesday 16^th. We would like to invite all new and established parents to get involved with them. The Parents Association has being a great support to the school over the last number of years. They help organise information nights for the school body, help with our Carol Service and First Holy Communion and do a lot of invaluable work behind the scenes to organise events for our pupils. We would really like to keep up this tradition as it is a great benefit to our children.

We need one more parent from the Infant room and one from the Middle room for our committee.

So if you would like to join the Parents Association or would like more information on their role in the school please ask any of the following members:

Mary Kellegher and Eamon Cunningham are Ex-offico members who are the Parent  Representatives on the Board of Management.

Church gate collection – The Parents Association held a church gate collection on 21^st October, we raised €337 for the school funds. Thank you to all in our community who contributed.

Donated Library books – We wish to thank all families who donated library books to the school. These are much appreciated

In November we remember all those we love who have died.

The pupils have created a ‘Remembrance Tree’ in the school hallway, if there is anyone you would like us to remember in our prayers please send in the name with your child and we will add them to our tree.
